Celebrating 30 beautiful years of the Skincare Makeup

As a former casting director and producer, Jane Iredale saw first-hand how conventional makeup undermined skin health, destroyed self-confidence and threatened careers. She asked herself, ‘Why can’t makeup be good for the skin?’. And so, she set out to create beautiful makeup that cares for the skin!

“In my 25-year career as a casting director, producer and writer in television and film, I encountered countless actors and models struggling to keep their skin healthy,” said Jane Iredale. “I recall a prominent agent in New York telling me that she would never hire a model with bad skin. That struck a chord in me - here is an opportunity to enhance the lives of women,” said Iredale.

Makeup With Skincare Benefits

Finding the balance in creating the perfect product with equal parts skincare benefits, premium ingredients, and high-quality performance, was Jane’s mission… and she succeeded! The jane iredale brand launched in 1994 with Amazing Base Loose Mineral Powder, a first-of-its-kind skincare makeup hybrid that revolutionised the beauty industry. The inception of jane iredale raised the bar for all beauty brands.
